Our journey begins with a 40 minutes drive from the capital Roseau, to the beautiful village of Laudat where our hike to the Lake begins.  45 minutes to an hour hike, on a trail made up of mainly dug out steps will take you to your destination.

With an altitude of about 2, 850 feet, the Boeri Lake is by far Dominica's highest lake.  The lake occupies about five acres and is approximately 117 feet in depth.

The trail to the lake is fairly easy; but can prove to be slippery especially when wet.  Along the way, you will come across many streams, do not  be afraid to have a drink, it is quite safe.  On your way to the lake you will come across some breathtaking views.

The total estimated time for this trip is 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 hours.
