Dominica is a volcanic island, and as a result, it has been rewarded with several sulphur and hot water springs.
SOUFRIERE
Located in the southern tip of the island is the village of
Soufiere, which is also the name of one of the island's volcano.
You can take a walk on the base, and take a look at the bubbling mud as the sulphur gasses escape. There is a large pool with flowing sulphuric water where you can take a bath. There are also hot springs in the water along the sea shore. Come and see it bubble.
WOTTEN WAVEN
This village is located about 20 minutes drive from the
capital. On the outskirts of the village, there you will come across
several hot springs.
Take a short walk to these pools, and enjoy looking
at the water bubble as it boils at over 100 degrees Celsius .
Some areas are equipped with tubs/spas, were you would have to pay to take a bath in the natural hot water.
